I'm a disciple of Jesus, and I hope that, more than anything, defines who I am. But what does that mean? It means that I gave my life to God, and I'm going to try to use it the way he wants me to. I'm his servant and his student - I owe him everything, and I want to be like him. I'm going to screw up - I know that and so does he. But I'm going to keep trying to change and grow, and God is going to keep helping me.
I write. Sometimes I paint. Sometimes I do stuff at the Dallas Hub Theater . I almost play guitar. I wish I played piano. Supposedly I'm learning to play the bagpipes. I like old things. I like getting things repaired more than buying new ones.
I work for The Deyo Group, Inc. , a marketing firm in Wylie, TX. I like my company and I love the people I work with.
I'm in this life for the long haul.
As of April 22, 2007 10:45 PM Central, I've been...
Watching:
About ten minutes of hockey with Jared. Yeah, not much TV recently.
Listening to:
Old radio dramas and lots of 89.7
Reading:
John (as in "The Gospel of...")
Doing (highlights):
Gettin' flippin' engaged, y'all! Yeah, as Connie pointed out, I haven't updated my page here since August 28th, so a lot has happened. But I've pretty much decided that MySpace sucks compared to Facebook, so if you want to stalk me, that's the place to do it.
Spending time with:
Katie, Jared, John, Warren
Praying about:
Katie's dad, ministry stuff, Jesus
Verse(s) on my mind:
"This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did." - 1 John 1:6
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." - James 1:17
My Advice:
Half-hearted attempts aren't worth the effort.
Life is so much better when you don't try to make it about you.
If you are not passing cars in the lane to your right, that is the lane you should be in.
Most recent fortune:
I don't remember, and I've already filed it.
