I am very interested in the place where sounds become music. After thinking about it a lot as part of a graduate project (stop laughing), I decided that sounds organized into patterns become music. The samples above are comprised of 'found sounds', sounds I came across during my daily life, and then recorded with a shotgun microphone onto a minidisc. I then cut and pasted them into patterns, added vocals, and a few instruments. My hope is that these songs will make people think about the sounds they hear every day in their world instead of ignoring them. I like to rant about noise pollution and the over abundance of human sounds.
