Hungarian folklore, paganism, history, and ancient mythology are the fundamental elements behind our music. The name TENGEREKEN represents the vast distances and lands the ancient Hungarians once traveled and conquered. Tengereken began during the winter of 2000 by members Arykán on vocals/bass and Ãrpád on guitars/percussion. The first demo was recorded during July of 2001. During January of 2003, three tracks were re-released on 100 cassettes under the title "As Attila Rides." The first full length cd titled Vérszerzödés (The Blood Oath) was released by Micetrap Records in December of 2004.
