halfpast.nine9 ist nicht die Antwort auf die Frage nach der Uhrzeit, sondern Independent Rock aus dem Rhein-Main-Gebiet. Hier vereinen sich musikalische Einflüsse aus den letzten 30 Jahren und kreieren eine Symbiose aus Altem und Neuem. Markus (vocals), Marc (guitar), Sarah (bass) und Matze (drums) trafen sich Anfang 2006 zum ersten Mal. „Nach der ersten Probe war uns klar, dass wir mit dieser Besetzung ins Schwarze getroffen haben“, darin sind sich alle einig. Nachdem der Covermantel schnell abgestreift wurde, um eigenen Ideen Platz zu machen, ging es ab dann mit selbstgeschriebenem Material auf Deutschlands Bühnen zu. Die Songs bestechen durch den Wechsel melodischer und harter Parts mit viel Liebe zum Detail. In Ihren Texten verarbeiten halfpast.nine9 täglich erlebte und gelebte Themen. Mit dem Wechsel von Sarah an die Gitarre und Übernahme des Bassparts vom neuen Bandmitglied Jens steht die Band 2009 mit neuem Sound auf der Bühne, um ihre powervollen wie gefühlvollen Songs noch ausgefeilter zu präsentieren.

Musical influences from the last 30 years are combined to create a symbiosis of old and new. Markus (vocals), Marc (guitar), Sahrah (bass) and Matze (drums) first met in the beginning of 2006. “After the first practice we knew, with this cast we hit the markâ€, to that they all agree. After the “coat of covers“ was stripped to make room for own ideas, they started to rock German stages with own written material. The songs are comprised by a change of melodic and hard parts, with a lot of love packed in the details. In their songtexts halfpast.nine9 deals with daily lived situations. With the change of Sarah from the bass to guitar and the takeover of the bass by the new bandmember Jens in 2009, the band is on stage again with new sounds, to present their powerfull and lyrical even more complex.
