About Me

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT an official band space, so you can NOT contact the band through this page! This profile is made by a fan.
ZEE is a collaboration of Richard Wright and Dave 'De' Harris and released one album, 'Identity' in 1984.

Wright is well known as member of Pink Floyd, the band he left after the touring in 1980/81 for 'The Wall' and in 1987 rejoined. Harris was the leadsinger of the band Fashion, he left in 1984.
ZEE sounds different than both Pink Floyd and Fashion though; their sound is built around the Fairlight CMI computer and can best be described as 80s futurepop electro. The album 'Identity' has been called 'an experiment' by Wright, but to many it's far more, even though it's a fact that the record did not made it to any charts and was only released on LP (vinyl). Please note that any CD releases are the unofficial kind and those are just illegal Cdr copies of the original album. We hope the album will be re-relased on CD someday...
Richard Wright
Dave Harris
After ZEE Wright joined Pink Floyd again in 1987; Harris worked with Mark O'Toole, Brian Nash and Peter Gill (Frankie goes to Hollywood) to form a new band, but that did not succeed.
In 1998 De co-wrote some music with Shane Faber (performed by Shane's 'The JeepJazz project') for the film soundtrack 'High art'. De also joined forces producing with Paul Fishman (ex keyboarder of the band Re-Flex, which had one major hit in 1983, 'The politics of dancing'), producing acts like Yazz, Marcy Dupres and Charlotte, but also music for films, TV and exhibitions.
These days he is working as producer and engineer in the US, but it's not quite clear what his recent activities are
Besides Pink Floyd and ZEE Richard 'Rick' Wright released two solo albums, 'Wet Dream' (1978) and 'Broken China' (1996).
Rick also joined his PF bandmate David Gilmour, as well in the studio (for the album 'On an island') as on stage touring.
September 15, 2008 the sad news came Rick Wright has died of cancer at the age of 65.

About Confusion

I've always liked 12" (or maxi) singles. Back in the 80s I collected those from bands like Duran Duran, Soft Cell, Frankie goes to Hollywood, Clan of Xymox (I have to mention: still one of the best Du...
