Band Members: So what about me??I generally perform as a bass player and backing vocalist (EZ Feelin, Linda Martin) and have contributed to a number of different song writing projects over the years produced by The Secret Life, Them Hungry Buzzards, The Love Junkies, Diviners etc., However, mainly due to the fact that I did n’t play guitar or piano, I never wrote much in the way of my own original material.
That’s all changed now as I’ve picked up guitar, and although in my own simple and limited way, it’s made a bit difference in the musical ideas and song writing department, and I’m currently working on my debut solo recording project. Loads of ideas have been recorded on my Zoom MRS1608 recorder, and they seem to in the ballsey country/pop/rock vein. Five songs are at what I would describe as “full demo status†to date, with two or three others seriously in the pot cookin'. Should be ready to go into the studio to do a full recording session sometime in 2009. I’m really enjoying the process, and can’t wait to get into some serious preproduction.
Musicians for the studio recordings have yet to be chosen, blackmailed or bullied into the venture, so let's see what happen here... Ideally, I’d like to keep it as local and friendly as possible, ‘cos apart from the whole arty, creative side of things (Ha!), this is supposed to be, no - - absolutely has to be, fun, fun fun!!!Working titles for demoed songs: JustU!, Let's Go Dancing, January Girl, Could This B Who We Are?, Still The Same.Hope you enjoy the songs featured here from The Secret Life and Diviners from a few years ago.
