About Me

Living on the road full-time in a diesel pusher rv, having a ball and enjoying life to the max, meeting different folks and playing music. If you are interested in what life on the road is like you can check it out in the "Where's Bob?" blogs ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ These recordings of 12-string are pretty recent, I just figured out how to get the "buz" out of my Guild 12-string while recording...it involves running a ground wire into my pants. I just finnished recording On The Half Shell when a lightening storm started, I pulled the plug just in time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CD's of Leapfrog and On The Halfshell are available at, Borders Kansas City, Mountain Music Shop in Shawnee Kansas, High Strung Music in Springfield Mo, or just contact me directly through myspace. Here's myself and Rudy Harley at Love-fest as Bill Bifwinkle. I HAVE BILL BIFWINKLE SHIRTS AVAILABLE IN BLUE, LIGHT BLUE, TURQUOIS AND GREY.THE SHIRTS ARE A HIGH QUALITY TEE-SHIRT ~~ $12.00 ~~ I WILL POST SOME PICTURES OF THEM IN MY PICTURES SOON ~~WRITE ME HERE FOR ORDERS

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: www.bobhalloran.com
Band Members: 6 & 12-string guitars and my fingers.
Influences: My first infuences were early rock stuff such as The Stones, Beatles, Jimi, then I discovered bluegrass music and fell in love with the acoustic sound. That led to ragtime guitar and any kind of fingerpicking stuff I could find. When I found Leo Kottke I fell in love with the 12-string, and what he was doing with the guitar! Rudy Harley, an obscure guitarist (who now has devoted himself to accordian) was also a huge influence and help with my playing. Others include Ry Cooder, Chet Atkins, Marcelle Dadi, Michael Hedges, Preston Reed, there are so many great players I have found on youtube also..the list continues to grow! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ THIS IS A FUN VIDEO OF "THE DEATH OF DISCO DUCK" WRITTEN BY A GOOD FRIEND, RUDY HARLY. SEE WHAT YOU THINK OF THE QUACK COUNT! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Another song I did for KC Anthem "Boris The Spider" and oldie from the Who ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "ON THE BLUE RAIL" a beautiful song written by Rudy Harly, played on a Timberline 6-string
Sounds Like: Leo Kottke, John Fahey, Ry Cooder, Arlo Guthrie, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, and Chet Atkins blended together together and brought to a boil.
