About Me

NEW 12 O'CLOCK HIGH VIDEO BY "747"I currently live in St. Johns Florida. I am originally from Baltimore, Md. and had spent the 8 years prior to moving to Florida in York, Pa.I have been playing DRUMS since age 14 when I join my brothers band LEAF, an original Rock/Funk band based out of Baltimore. Diversity has been the key to my playing, and also playing with some of the best Funk Bass players in Baltimore. There is something about playing in the pocket with a kick A$$ Bass Player that just makes it worth every penny, and minute invested into Kickin it up!I later when on to do several recordings on my own and continue to write and arrange original music. One of my projects was a Band called THE DISTRACTIONS which I have our recordings loaded on this site for your listening pleasure. This was a great project that I am still very proud of, and it was the first time that I had wriiten songs for a female to record. Beth Jones was the vocalist for this project and she was very easy to write for because she was a very good vocalist with a very open mind.I am very interested in writting for an upcoming Artist, and hope to work with a Major Label one day soon!I AM AVAILABLE FOR STUDIO OR FILL IN WORK!Currently I am working in two projects, a local Jacksonville based cover band called "Five by Seven", playing a variety of music all over the North Florida and South Georiga area. Please check the upcoming show area for dates and times of shows in your area. I also perform and record original music with a band called "747", it's a driving 3 piece Rock Band, garage rock, wide open, in your face, straight forward, very radio/concert friendly, and loud. It really reminds me of the early days with "LEAF", but the music is a little different. They both have one thing in common, "IT ROCKS"..

Influences: I have tons of influences including a drummer in one of my brothers early bands, his name was Tony Shields, and he was one of the tightest in the pocket funk drummers I have ever heard and he was BLIND. Not that this matters, but it made him very special in my eyes at an early stage of my life. As far as the big names John Bonham, Stewart Copeland, Simon Phillips, Dennis Chambers, Larry Bright - (2 B-More brothers) and tons of Funk Drummers and the list never stops. I enjoy all styles of music but there is something about FUNK that continues to grab most of my attention
Sounds Like: I pretty much have my on style, but I am a Driver that plays in the Pocket. Straight Up Grooves, Funk, Rock, Blues, any style. I do not believe in over playing, or making noise. It's not what you play, it's what you don't play and when you play it!Check out the player below for some addtional recordings. This will also link you to my Soundclick Page.
