R.I.P CHIANNE I LOVE N MISS YOU!!!!!
EVERETT, Wash. - A 15-year-old girl has died following a late-night car collision that Everett police say may be related to street racing. The incident occurred at roughly 12:45 a.m. in the 800 block of East Marine View Drive. The 18-year-old boy who was driving the car remains hospitalized. While there is no dispute that the car carrying the two teens was going fast when it headed northbound on Marine View, there are conflicting stories about what may have led up to the fatal wreckRyan Pedersen says his teenage brother just left a birthday party and was driving his 15-year-old girlfriend home when something happened that caused him to lose control."He said a car chased him off the flats, and chased him to the right here, and he slammed right in the thing, I don't know if someone was out to get him," Pedersen said. The car hit small barrier just below David Taylor's front door."Just sounded like a door slammed, slammed out in front of the door because of the metal hitting the concrete wall," Taylor said. The Honda Civic hit another guard rail before coming to rest. Aid crews rushed the 15-year-old passenger to Providence Everett, where she died from her injuries."There are indications the car went airborne," said Everett Police Sergeant Robert Goetz. But Everett police say it is unclear what led up to the accident. Neighbors had complained of cars racing at excessive speeds just prior to the crash."They had heard some racing on the road earlier," Goetz said.Perhaps the only person who knows for sure is the 18-year-old driver, who tonight is in the hospital recovering from his injuries and mourning the loss of his girlfriend."He's heartbroken," Pedersen said.At last check the 18-year-old was listed in satisfactory condition at Harborview Medical Center.Police say it is possible charges could be filed in the case, if it's determined a crime occurred.Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Everett Police Department at 425-257-8450.
