Cerebral Asphyxiation

About Me

The initial idea to start the band came from one pissed up night down the 151 crypt during 2005, when vocalist Ryan and guitarist Chopper decided to take their musical influences and use them to make some unholy racket!. Recruiting Chopper's long time friend Chris on bass the apocalypse that at the time became known as Cyanide had begun!.
The only problems were finding a practise place and recruiting a drummer (strangely enough the problems which plague the band to this day) which considering Great Yarmouth's severe lack of drummers was no easy task. However the band persisted but eventually ground to a halt when Chopper was poached by another band in late 2005.
However, once he grew tired of this new venture the wheels were back in gear and the cogs were turning for the Cyanide machine as new original songs began to take the place of the covers which preceded them. The Ship (RIP) was the perfect musical breeding ground for the blinding guitar riffs, roaring vocals and shit-hot bass playing spawned from the general drudgery of everyday Great Yarmouth life!
However another spanner was thrown in the works by the closing of a pub which had been home to so many and the continued lack of a drummer, until the good fortune of Chopper's technological re-vamp in the dying moments of 2007 which gave the band access to drum machine technology and recording ability.
As 2007 drew to a close and 2008 began, new hope and a new name was struck into the hearts of CEREBRAL ASPHYXIATION as they began to re-write and record their music.
This is where the band still stands today. Preparing a vast musical arsenal to wage war on the 2008 music scene and take it by storm!
