Founded in 2003 as a one-man band, “Who Dies In Siberian Slush†was primarily oriented on melodic death doom; however later on it acquired death doom/funeral sounding.
The centerpiece of WDISS compositions is a person forever entrapped in the lingering winter of his inward.
The first similarly named demo recording, “Who Dies In Siberian Slushâ€, was released in 2004 in a quantity of 30 CDR pcs, which were distributed among friends.
In May 2005 10 CDR pcs of the same material with some alterations were re-issued by the project’s founder E.S. and also distributed among friends.
In 2006 “Who Dies In Siberian Slush†issued two internet singles: “Mobius Ring. Part I†and “Bitternessâ€, where the music started to tend towards funeral doom. The compositions were given a warm reception both in Russia and abroad.
By the end of December 2007 “Who Dies In Siberian Slush†records its demo “Blood Pressureâ€. In January 2008 the CDR recordings were distributed among friends and interested parties.
By November 2008 “Who Dies In Siberian Slush†acquired a full line-up consisting of a guitarist, bassist, and a drummer. This affected the band’s musical concept: “Who Dies In Siberian Slush†ultimately entrenched itself in the chosen style, based on freezing, tenebrous funeral doom. In May 2009 WDISS recorded an Internet single entitled “Rehearsal Tapeâ€. Two months later the band released its first video “Mobius Ringâ€. The rest of 2009 the band spends in preparations for live performances and recording of a full-length album.
