I love Africa! I love the people, the bush and the wildlife with a passion. My favorite place in the world is Mana Pools in the Zambezi Valley ... for me there is no place more beautiful. I will always feel incredibly blessed & priviledged to have had the amazing and beautiful life that I had growing up there. It definitely wasn't ordinary.
I love seeing people from all tribes and nations across the world coming to know and love Jesus for who He is and what He did for us. This is a great passion of mine and there isn't a whole lot more that I find as exciting as this.
I love and support the country of Israel and the Jewish people. For me, Jerusalem is magical and majestic and Israel is the most beautiful country I've seen.
I love horses. We had several horses growing up and riding in the bush with my Dad was one of my favorite things to do.
I love to travel. I'd love to visit New Zealand, Thailand, the islands of Palau where "Survivor: Palau" was filmed & travel from Cairo in the north of Africa down through to Cape Town in South Africa in a landrover. Can never travel enough.
I am very much a family person. There's nothing more that I love and enjoy than spending time together as a family with my husband & kids & I'm so thankful to have such a close and loving relationship with my parents who are my best friends.
Some other things I enjoy:
-One of my most favorite things to do is to read the classics (The Little Princess, Anne of Green Gables, Little House on the Prairie, Oliver Twist, Moby Dick, Chronicles of Narnia, etc, etc, etc. ) with my daughter & then watch the movies when we're done with the books.
-Reading biographies from Africa; stories from the Holocaust; the history of Israel; Islam; reading fiction. I love settling in to a great book that captures your imagination and expands your mind and heart.
-Attempting to keep up with the politics & events of the world
-People & cultures of the world
-Conspiracy theories
-Theology
-Home renovations
-Friday family nights with my husband & kids
-Drinking coffee
-Watching movies

Elisha in the Old Testament. People talk about Elijah a lot but Elisha did some pretty amazing stuff too. I like him for his boldness and great faith.
Another person I greatly admire is one of the best known missionaries to southern Africa, David Livingstone. He was an amazing man with an amazing vision to set the souls free from slavery, both physical and spiritual, and to open up Africa to Christianity.
Akiane Kramarik - I am amazed and blown away by this beautiful child of God and her gift of art, poetry, wisdom, insight and love for God and for others. What an incredible story she has.
My husband has also been like a hero to me. There's no one else who knows all the worst in me and still stands with me never bringing it all up unless to encourage me to grow through it. He is endlessly patient and I never hear discouraging words come from his mouth nor is he ever unkind about anyone. He is a Godly, wise, wonderful, hands-on & involved father. He has given me a beautiful family which I am very thankful for.
