EAST VILLAGE CLUB

About Me

East Village opened in February 2008, as much a reference to the creative village community of Shoreditch as a nod to great small modern clubs like Cielo and APT. Like them, we are an intimate space and insist on booking cutting-edge talent. International guests so far have included acts and DJs like Quentin Harris, Osunlade, Prosumer, Anja Schneider, Andomatt 3000, Karizma, Mr V, Omar S, Dan Ghenacia and Manuel Tur. And working regularly too with UK legends like Gilles Peterson, David Rodigan, Norman Jay, Tim Westwood, Joey Negro, Andrew Weatherall and Goldie typifyies a policy of inviting not only the hottest upfront acts but acknowledging the DJs that made today's dance music scene what it is. Our eponymous Friday night session is hosted by EV Head Of Music Stuart Patterson, who is also resident at the night which combines the best house music around on the impressive sound system in the basement while some of London's finest disco and funk collectives like Horsemeat Disco and Disco Bloodbath deliver upstairs in the lounge bar. Saturdays have become host to some of the London's best and most established parties including DDD, Mulletover, GoZilla, Sweatshop, Need2Soul and Inspiration Information. Meanwhile, Thursdays are taking shape as a haven for those of dubstep persuasion with the likes of Goldie, Skream and David rodigan on regular deck duties.
