Band Members: Oscar Del Sebastien and Strange for Strangers offer the world the best in Strange, i.e., the type of music composed by Oscar Del Sebastien. This music does not belong to any genre, but has the influences of all genres. If anything it falls under the umbrella of folk music, music for the people. Also, Oscar Del Sebastien practices the art of art, and finds much enjoyment in the process of creating. It sure as hell beats sitting around and getting fat. Currently working on a few projects.
Influences:
Bob Dylan, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Lucinda Williams, Neil Young, Manu Chao, Miles Davis, Prince, Bossa Nova, Jazz, (Latin Music in general), Pablo Neruda, Pablo Picasso, W. H. Auden, Garcia Marquez, Garcia Lorca, Eduardo Galiano, William Yeats, Longfellow, Shakespeare, Dante, Modigliani, Mary Jane, Chiam Soutine, Arnold Schoenberg, Frank Sinatra, Chopin, Eric Satie, Eliseo Subiela, Dali, Luis Bunel, Chinua Achebe, Anais Nin, John Ford, Spike Lee, Einstein, Jesus, Elvis, Budda, and the list goes on and on and on and on, like waves to the shore.
Sounds Like: Oscar Del Sebastien and Strange for Strangers sound like no one you have ever heard, but also like everyone that you think you may have heard. I/We are Contemporary Folk, with Latin and Classical roots. Stay in tune with the universe, and keep on living, for one day you will understand more than you already know.
