Ninsun Poli is a soul artist who, despite her young age, has been an active songwriter and singer for several years. She is a 21 year old assyrian girl, born and raised in Botkyrka, a suburb of Stockholm who shows a maturity with her singing and songwriting ability. She describes her own music as soul/r'n'b, which is her own favourite type of music, but she grown up with all types of music around her including, assyrian music.Ninsun made her first live appearance with her band at the Hultsfred
Festival 2004 in Sweden, since then she has also performed at Berns, Lydmar, Alcazar and Nalen in Stockholm and this Summer at the Malmö Festival in Malmo.She has been given attention by Swedish National Radio P3 and the Swedish music magazine Groove, a.o. During the Hultsfred Festival she was interviewed by Mats Nileskär from Swedish National Radio P3 Soul, which also resulted in an appearance in P3 Soul's year end review for 2004 as one to look out for in 2005.Ninsun writes most of the material herself but works alot with her brother Nabu Poli (Clee & Drank-a-lot from The Luniz, Humpty Hump, Mili Mili, a.o.). The EP, "For Real", was recorded in Los Angeles during the Summer of 2005 with musicians who have collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Chaka Khan, Dionne Warwick, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Quincy Jones and Frank Sinatra - just to mention a few.The musicians on the EP are:
