Foundation is a rising West Coast group exploding with energy. Exhibiting a blend of reggae, hip-hop and dancehall. Foundation's members infuse many years of experience and diverse backgrounds to create an electrically charged sound resonating a powerful message. Serious de Witness is known from West to East as an accomplished lyricist with the ability to “Get The Spot Poppin”. Originally from Philadelphia, Serious has recorded in Jamaica at renowned locations such as Tuff Gong, Achor, GeeJam as well as Junior Reid’s One Blood Stuidios. The upcoming full release, “Serious Business” features combinations from Junior Reid, Jah Marcus, David Isaacs from the Itals, Jesse Gender and Ras Attitude. His combination with Jesse Gender achieved international status playing from Jamaica to Ghana. Serious has opened for a wide range of acts including roots artists like Pato Banton, dancehall sensaton Anthony B. and hip-hop pioneer KRS-ONE. Foundation’s addictive sound comes from the worldwide span of influences found in its members. Coming from Zimbabwe, Zion Lion is an international touring musician and collaborator with African music legend Thomas Mapfumo for over 15 years. D’Carlo brings gospel influences from his ongoing involvement in church choirs and The University of Oregon choir. Victoria & Melia add to the ecclectic sound with their sweet melodies and rhythmic moves. Parker Koehn, an Oregon original, is a prolific reggae drummer influenced by hip-hop and springs from a thorough Jazz background. Raised in California, Red / X has lived and worked in New York City and has toured and recorded extensively.
