About Me

Myspace Cursors

StickFinlays are Tommy Hunter - Guitar/Vox, Alistair Dick – Bass and Chris Manwell Drums. They are three mates who met at High School in their home town Jedburgh, in the Scottish Borders and have been playing across the region - both Scotland and Northern England - regularly for the past few years, chalking up some impressive touring schedules across the UK including two appearances at Club Fandango and various T-Break events.

2005 saw the release of debut album “Progress On Paper” through Hackpen records which was very well received by the underground music press with magazines like ‘Spill’ hailing it , “The result is a step in the right direction for guitar music. The defiant lyrics, aggressive hooks and inventive rhythms leave a lasting impression indented on the mind Unforgettable." ***** ….”. The album even earned them a slot on Vic Galloways’ session in Scotland.

Since the release of P.O.P the band have been writing, recording and gigging, with two self released E.Ps in 2005/6. Unfortunately the band suffered a major setback when drummer Chris broke both his legs in a fall in 2006 and took many months to recover. In 2007 the band self released another demo which was well recieved and showed the bands more aggresive side.Throughout 2008 till present the band have been busy rehearsing and working on new material which they plan to showcase and record in the near future so watch this space....
