It doesn't appear weapons were used during the fight that followed only fists, but that was enough, Maisonett died at the hospital."It's one of those things a parent worries about from the time their kids are born to the time they're out on their own," said Ed Forsberg, an Elk Grove resident.Four hours after the fight officers got a beat on the suspects, stopping them just a few miles from the original crime scene.Zachery Sharp happened to be standing right next to the car when officers swarmed, "I was just walking to my car and next thing you know I don't know how many cops there were, and then they had guns out."Two of the three alleged suspects were in an SUV -- they were put in the back of squad cars -- waiting to be interviewed and added to a suspect lineup. Ironically the violence started in front of the Peace Presbyterian Church."Its extremely ironic, extremely tragic as well," said Pastor Brian Spangler of the Peace Presbyterian Church.The church isn't a stranger to crime. The pastor said his church has been broken into three times in the past year. But he never expected a murder in front of his place of worship."I think its always unsettling when you feel safe in a place and you realize it wasn't safe for someone else," said Spangler.As detectives picked up the evidence Saturday the pastor worried about the victim's family who will ultimately have to pick up the pieces.
