BECOMING A MODEL CONFIDENCE: The role of a model or actor requires a great deal of confidence. On the road to success a model or actor will have to weather some rejection. To be a success in the industry as a model or actor one must have durable confidence. Through each experience of rejection one must learn and be able to sustain his or her confidence for the next opportunity. In each casting or go-see clients look for models and actors who present themselves with confidence. You must believe in yourself before anyone else can believe in you.INDEPENDENCE: The assignments that models and actors attain often require traveling to foreign places, away from family and friends. These assignments can also be for long periods of time. Independence is a key characteristic.ORGANIZATION: A model or actor has many dates, times, and locations to remember for his or her various appointments. A successful model or actor must be able to keep track of each appointment's date and always arrive promptly. He or she, also, must have his or her wardrobe planned, prior to the appointment in order to elude a polished impression.STAMINA: A healthy life-style is required of a model or an actor. A model or actor's day can often consist of long hard hours on his or her feet in adverse weather conditions. To be able to withstand tough working conditions a model or actor should eat healthfully and excercise at least three times a week.WILL POWER: Unfortunately, the international modeling scene, often, involves the party life-style. A model or actor must practice good judgement. If he or she chooses to party, he or she must be able to balance partying into his or her life without having any other aspects of his or her life suffer. Partying should be a low priority. If a model or actor decides to participate in the party scene he or she must have self-discipline to set boundaries for his or herself. A model or actor should never partake in substance abuse.
