Edward Long is the Youth Director for the Jr. High & Sr. High Student Ministries at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church (Lithonia, Georgia) under the leadership of his father, spiritual pioneer and international visionary Bishop Eddie L. Long. As a Director of a youth ministry and a recently ordained minister (February 2009), Mr. Long is frequently called upon to minister around the country at various events. His youthful & entertaining presence along with his sensitive understanding of the Word and candid delivery of the Gospel has afforded him the opportunity to speak in such places as World Changers Church International with Dr. Creflo Dollar and Crenshaw Christian Center with Dr. Fred Price.Giving back to the community continues to be one of the most important aspects of ministry to Edward. Whenever his schedule permits, he devotes his time to young people who have the desire to lead a positive life by growing educationally, physically and spiritually. More recently he has expanded his outreach to include single young adults. In his efforts to support youth and young adults alike, Edward has been a very active artist, host and moderator for various events and conferences. He is frequently invited by schools, churches and concert promoters to host concerts and motivate audiences at their respective venues. He has made guest appearances as an artist, moderator and/or panelist in such arenas as the Black College Expo, 100 Black Men of America 20th Annual Conference, FAMU’s Black Men’s College Exploratory Program, Hype Night, Heart 2 Heart Women's forum and MegaFest. He was also called upon to host the RePresent Student Conference at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church that annually attracts more than 5,000 students from around the world, making it one of the largest youth conferences in the world.In addition to being a Youth Director and Motivational Speaker, Mr. Long is a musical artist who has performed at World Changers Church International (Dr. Creflo Dollar); Crenshaw Christian Center (Dr. Fred Price); Mega Fest, hosted by Bishop T.D. Jakes and he has been featured on Bobby Jones’ Next Generation. He is also the host of the Mixx Masters’ Lounge Show where he has had such artists as Da’ Truth, Flame, Canton Jones and Lisa McClendon to perform. Operating in this capacity has given Mr. Long the opportunity to promote not only the message of Christ but also the positive aspects of life in a non-traditional musical format, which makes it appealing to a variety of audiences.Edward Long has continued to expand his involvement within the entertainment industry with his recording collaborations with various artists as well as opened shows to notable mainstream and gospel performers that include T-Pain, Coco Brother, Canton Jones, Mr. Del, Platinum Souls, Big Duke of Boyz N Da Hood, Shawn Jay of Field Mob, Thrill Da Playa, 112, Jagged Edge, Block, Demetrus, Michelle Williams, Johnny Gill, Baby D, Master P, David Banner, Pastor Troy and Kirk Franklin. This is all in addition to writing songs for Lil’ IroCc and producing musical arrangements for New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. As the artist, this A-Town son of ‘crunk’ has hosted concerts for the hottest names in Hip Hop, including: Ludacris, Chingy, Lil Jon, G-Unit, T.I., and Lil Scrappy. As a performer, He has thrilled audiences throughout the South, Midwest and has become a regular crowd pleaser on the West Coast.
