Sounds Like: Take some Darrell Scott, a dash of acoustic Warren Haynes, some puree of David Wilcox, and pour it all over the world of pop country and that's what I'm pushing for. As far as what I actually sound like, I'd like to say that I combine my influences and mix in a strong Montana heritage, but each time I play I try to draw as much from the audience as I do from myself. I believe that my songs in some way relate to everyone, and everything, around me.Vocally I draw comparisons to Jeffrey Foucault, Warren Haynes, and Darrell Scott. However, there follows a pallette of ambiguity when singing truths, and an inevitable uniqueness when taking influence from a broad spectrum.Songwriting has always been my focus, and I've pushed my singing and guitar playing to allow me to present my songs. But at the heart, at the honesty of it all, is the song. The song makes the decisons, while I'm along for the ride. Sometimes I'm excited to be able to continually ride on moments that may be long past, and other times I can't believe that I'm singing about myself. So, to reduce myself under a 'Sounds Like' label is easy until I try to figure out the why, which doesn't matter. This is why I say that I sound like a collection of moments we've all shared.
