My name is Jennifer and I am 24 years old! I have been married for 4 years to the love of my life, Kent. We started dating when I was a junior in high school (8 years ago), fell in love, and got married on September 21, 2002! We started building a house in Georgetown a week before we found out I was pregnant with our first child. We were SOOO excited!!! We welcomed our precious baby boy, Tyler Kent Deskins (aka: "bean") into our family on January 13, 2004.
The day after Tyler's 1st birthday, he was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disease called MPS 1-hurlers. The doctors gave us the options for Tyler in order for him to have the best "quality of life". We opted for Bone Marrow Transplant. Tyler recieved his new bone marrow cells on June 8th, 2005...his new lease on life. Tyler and I "lived" in Cincinnati for over 3 months and finally got to move back home to be with Kent on August 25th, 2005! That was an exciting day for us all! Mine and Kent's world crashed down on us on November 1st, 2005 when Tyler, our precious baby became an angel. That day and the days that follow have been the hardest days of my life. Kent and I have been through so much in the past 8 years, but we have overcome all the obstacles. Our love for each other always shines through...no matter what, or who, tries to stand in the way. Sometimes we just need a little kick in the ass to remind us of all the good things we have. Even when we've lost so much...we still have each other and without our love for each other neither of us could go on.
