Moonrise to projekt multiinstrumentalisty Kamila Konieczniaka pochodzacego z Klucz niedaleko Krakowa. Jego umiejetności instrumentalne, ktore zdobywal od najmlodszych lat i zainteresowania muzyka progresywna zaowocowaly stworzeniem kilkunastu kompozycji. Na początku 2008 roku Kamil wydal debiutancka plyte „The Lights of A Distant Bay”. Album zostal uznany przez sluchaczy i krytyków – pojawilo się wiele pozytywnych recenzji na jej temat na serwisach internetowych, album wielokrotnie prezentowany byl w stacjach radiowych, a duzym sukcesem projektu byla nominacja plyty w kategorii „debiut roku” we wloskim plebiscycie ProgAwards 2008.
Po nagraniu i wydaniu materialu Kamil postanowil stworzyc pelnowartosciowy zespol. Nie trwało to dlugo, gdyz już w maju dolaczyl do niego gitarzysta Marcin Kruczek. Po krotkim czasie dolaczyl saksofonista Dariusz Rybka oraz perkusista Grzegorz Jakieła. Lukasz Gall ponownie zajal sie napisaniem tekstow i spiewem. Od czerwca do sierpnia 2009 odbyla sie sesja nagraniowa plyty „Soul’s Inner Pendulum” w studiu Lynx Music. Plyta ukazala sie pod koniec wrzesnia 2009.

Moonrise is a project created by Kamil Konieczniak, a multiinstrumentalist from Klucze near Krakow. His musical skills, acquired from the earliest age, as far as his fascination in the area of progressive music resulted in many own compositions.
He released his first album “„The Lights of A Distant Bay” at the beginning of 2008. The album was greeted warmly by listeners and critics – many positive reviews appeared on web portals, the songs were often presented in radio stations and, most of all, the album was nominated to the „Debut of the Year” contest in Italian ProgAwards 2008.
Afterwards Kamil decided to create a proper band. It was not long until Marcin Kruczek (guitar), Dariusz Rybka (sax) and Grzegorz Jakieła (drums) joined Moonrise. Łukasz Gall was again responsible for vocals and lyrics. The session for the next album „Soul’s Inner Pendulum” took place from June to August 2009 in Lynx Music studio.

Moonrise ist ein Projekt eines Musikers aus Klucze am Krakow, Multiinstrumentalisten Kamil Konieczniak. Seine instrumentale Fähigkeiten die er von seinen jügentlichen Jahren entwickelte, sowie seine Interesse an Progresiv Music erfolgten mit vielen Kompositionen.
Gab er am Anfang 2008 seine erste Platte aus - “The Lights of A Distant Bay”. Der Album wurde von Zuhörer und Kritik richtig einschätzt – viele positive Rezensionen erschienen im Internet, die Lieder wurden oft im Radio präsentiert, vor allem aber wurde der Album zum ProgAwards Preis in Italien in der Kategorie „Debut des Jahres” nominiert. Nach dem Herausbringen des ersten Albums beschloss Kamil eine richtige Band zu kompletieren.
Es dauerte nich lange bis Marcin Kruczek (Gitarre), Dariusz Rybka (Saxophone) und Grzegorz Jakieła (Schlagzeug) sich Moonrise anschlossen. Łukasz Gall war wieder für Vokale und Texte verantwortlich. Von Juni bis August 2009 dauerte die Aufnahmesession für den neuen Album „Soul’s Inner Pendulum” im Studio Lynx Music. Er erschien Ende September 2009.
