Hey there - I'm a Brooklyn, NY-based composer, clarinetist & saxophonist.
Here's some stuff I've written. Hope you enjoy it.
Info about the tracks:
Side Effects May Include - a live performance from the GUTBUCKET ORCHESTRA live show at Monkeytown in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, January 2009. That's Gutbucket with some friends (Alex Hamlin on baritone sax, Pete Wise on vibes, Tom Gavin on 2nd (electric) bass). The studio version is on our record "A Modest Proposal" on Cuneiform.
Kleine Helmet is by my new project, Slow/Fast. That's me on bass clarinet with Russ Johnson, trumpet, Mike Gamble, gtr, Adam Armstrong, bass, and Fred Kennedy, drums. That was recorded live at the Stone, NYC.
Throw Back. was written for Ty Citerman (guitar) and Beth Meyers (solo viola) plus a string quintet and 6 people playing drumsticks on the floor.
Wait Your Turn was for Gutbucket and the American Composers Orchestra. Live recording excerpt from 2007.
Underwater is from my clarinet quintet How To Play. That's 5 of me playing.
Eberswalde to Amsterdam is for Gutbucket and the string quartet Ethel, recorded live.
I write for people like the Bang on a Can All-Stars and the American Composers Orchestra.
I play in groups Gutbucket, Anti-Social Music, World/Inferno Friendship Society, Signal, Fire in July, the Dirty Sock Funtime Band, the No Net Trio, and more. I've started a new project of my music called "Slow/Fast."
When I'm lucky I get to play with folks like Alarm Will Sound, So Percussion, Ethel, and the M Shanghai String Band. I am on faculty of the Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival.
OK that's about it.
