About Me

Public By Default is: Matt Barnetzke (Guitar/Vocals), Marck Kluender (Bass/Vocals), and Brandon Barnetzke (Drums). The band formed in late 2007 and has since released a demo cd and numerous demo singles. Plans to record an LP are coming and the band has been writing new music constantly. With musical influences ranging from classic punk bands such as Dead Boys and Ramones to modern punk bands such as Rancid and Green Day, to modern rock and even some indie rock, Public By Default has begun to make a trademark sound that they can definitely call their own. On more than one ocassion, the band has been told they sound similar to early Joy Division. With many simple punk rock riffs filled with early Replacements' style guitar solos and complex Rancid style bass lines all tied together with fast and lively drums, Public By Default is creating original music with a unique sound.
