I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I was born in Santa Rosa, CA, which is about an hour north of San Francisco. When I graduated high school, I went to UC San Diego and majored in economics. After beginning to train for a career as a financial adviser, I soon realized that I want a more exciting occupation and decided to move to Los Angeles and work in the music industry.

My Interests

I was introduced to music when I discovered my dad's record player and a crate full of classic rock records. I began playing the drums when I was 10 years old and joined the marching band in junior high. I was section leader of our drumline all throughout high school and played in a metal band called "South of Sanity". I began playing the guitar when I was about 13 but not very seriously until I went to college (since I couldn't bring my drums into the dorms, I began playing guitar instead). Also, I began producing rap beats and writing verses in high school and am very interested in learning more about production techniques.

I'd like to meet:

Life is what you make of it, so I'm making mine fun, exciting and filled with good friends. I strive to be a great person in all aspects of life and am continuously learning and improving my character. I believe that it is not the ultimate outcome, but the process of getting there that is truly important. Let's all remember to enjoy the ride.

Music:

I began playing rugby when I was a sophomore because I lived in a house full of girls and needed more male influence in my life. The rugby guys were always at all the parties in high school so I figured they would be a good group to join. Little did I know that decision would change the course of my life. I was selected Rookie of the Year and promoted to captain as a junior. I was MVP the next two years, as well as League MVP my senior year when we won the State Championships. At UCSD, I was Rookie of the Year as a freshman and then MVP the next three years and captain during my last two. I was selected as MVP of the Southern California Collegiate All-Star team for my performance at the All-Star championship tournament which earned me an Honorable Mention All-American title. That year I was also selected as the Male Athlete of the Year for the UCSD sport clubs. I am not currently playing while I establish my new career in Los Angeles but am considering joining a men's club next season.

Movies:

I love to eat and am interested in learning how to cook (well). I also want to learn to speak Spanish fluently. I have never left North America and would love to travel the world someday. I have tried Yoga a few times and would really like to improve my flexibility. I also love skateboarding, snowboarding and wakeboarding and am decent at each of the sports. I love to work out and am very into fitness and living a healthy lifestyle (but it's easier said than done).

Television:

I love all kinds of music but this is what I listen to the most: All That Remains, Metallica, Tool, Pantera, Mudvayne, Kanye West, In Flames, Children of Bodom, Unearth, Immortal Technique, As I Lay Dying, Brett Dennen, Led Zepplin, Bullet For My Valentine, Nas, Dave Matthews Band, Eminem, Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more. . .

Books:

Terminator 2, Friday Night Lights, Drumline, Donnie Darko, Superbad, Anchorman, Fight Club, Braveheart, Animal House, Magnolia

Heroes:

I did not begin leisurely reading until I graduated from college, but here are some of the ones I've enjoyed so far: The World is Flat, The Future of Music, Diary, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People

Time

The PastThere comes a time in all of our lives when we look back in retrospect of the days behind us, the time that has passed and what it consisted of.  It is inevitable that we will find regret...
