Kim S. Hansen

I'm originally from Denmark - up there between Sweden and Germany. Spent all my life for better and for worse as a full-time musician. Worked a bit as a recording engineer as well. I toured a lot, did a lot of recording sessions ( played on over 50 Danish pop releases ), worked on many TV+Radio shows, movie scores, musical theater etc. I came to Los Angeles in 1998 and began working as MD for singer Maxine Nightingale. I toured with gospel singer Bebe Winans and recorded a Grammy nominated live CD/DVD with him – ‘Up Close and Personal’. Following was a national tour : ‘The Winans Family Reunion Tour’ . I have since performed and/or recorded with Kci & Jojo, Ricky Lawson, Doc Powell, Oleta Adams, Bobby Lyle, Jesse Powell, Sekou Bunch, Steve Oliver, Jeff Kashiwa, Paul Jackson Jr., Phil Upchurch, Peabo Bryson, Howard McCrary, Carl Anderson, Stephanie Mills, Deniece Williams, Howard Hewitt, Everette Harp, Smitty Smith, Warren Hill, The Supremes, Malcolm Jamahl-Warner, Maysa Leak, Kirk Whalum, Donny McClurkin, Ledisi, Terry Steele, Angela Bofill, Michael Paulo, Dreamscapes, Michael Lington, Phil Perry, Kelly Price and many more. I am currently putting some tunes together for a possible debut album in between my schedule creating music for TV/Commercials and playing concerts as a sideman for some of the great people mentioned above.
