Set Against Pattern * Marina 30 Octobre ! *

Created in december 2007 by Maxime Bouchard (drums) and Phil Bergeron (guitar), 30 Degrees Corruption (Band's first name) began to write songs. They first wrote *Head Shot From Above* and started to look for another guitar player, a singer and a bassist. Their friend Guillaume *Bob* Gagné (guitar) listened to their first song and decided to join the band. Then Maxime asked his friend Phillippe Lavoie (Bass) to join them in the adventure and he accepted without any hesitation. With the instrumental section completed, they needed a clean and a scream singer. Hugo Croft was their first choice because of his agressive scream so Max asked him to join the band. Some week after the add of Hugo, Michel Arguain asked Maxime if he could sing the clean sections in the band. He gave him the chance to join the guys but it was short. Michel left the band and Maxime decided to sing the clean vocals while playing drums.With Maxime (Drums/Clean Vocal), Phil (Lead Guitar), Bob (Guitar), Phil (Bass) and Hugo (Scream Vocal), the band was finally complete. They recorded a seven songs demo and played some shows in the summer 2008. The band performed well but in the middle of the summer, Maxime had to take a hard decision... he decided to change Hugo for Yann Dufour (DuScream) because Yann was able to make both vocals, clean and scream. They began to write more progressive songs for the challenge and they loved it. The boys finnaly found their own music style : Punk , Hardcore , Progressive. They decided to change the band's name because of all those recent changes and renamed it *Set Against Pattern*. Somehow, DuScream didn't agree with the new progressive sound: it wasn't what he was searching for so he left the band and they had to find a new singer... again... Yann is now in his brother's band and left us in good terms.Two weeks later Maxime met Maxime Trudel in a bar and asked him to try his vocal at the next rehearsal. He accepted to try and S.A.P. listened his scream. Trudel was perfect for the four original members because he seemed to be very interested and ready to make a lots of effort for the band, in other words, he's very involved. S.A.P. are actualy writting new material to record their first album which should be released in 2010. .. ..
