Raised in the Midwest, Indiana native Tanner grew up riding around in his dad's old Ford pickup listening to the clearest country or blues station available. Having a love for music and a background in piano since the age of 4, Tanner picked up the guitar at age 13 and started playing everything from
Johnny Cash to
Rage Against The Machine. He later moved to Florida in 1999. After playing in the well known Orlando based band
Milka for two years, Tanner decided to move on to a new genre. He then spent the next 6 years playing bass for progressive metal band
Indorphine.
Indorphine released their debut album "Glowsticks for Clubbing Baby Seals" on Rockridge Music in July of 2006. The band spent the next couple years touring the country and supporting the record that sold around 10,000 copies. Over the past year Tanner has gone back to his soulful roots. Now Tanner travels around the Southeastern music scene performing acoustic shows. He's spent the last year writing his debut acoustic album set to release in the fall of 2008.
