MySpace CodesMy name is Michele and I am a huge Nascar fan. I have always wanted to volunteer at the Victory Junction Gang Camp but since I am unable to do that at this time I decided to make a myspace page for the camp in hopes of getting the word out that this camp exists. So if you are interested in learning more keep reading and please remember to visit their website at victoryjunction.org Victory Junction Gang Camp opened its doors in June 2004.The Camp was founded by Kyle and Pattie Petty,in honor of their son Adam.
Surrounded by a beautiful forest,Victory Junction is located in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina.The camp has a racing theme,because the founder Kyle Petty,and his father Richard Petty are both currently involved in Nascar racing.Kyle's son Adam was also a race car driver at the time of his death.
The camp is comprised of 44 buildings,some of which are named,Goody's Body Shop Medical Center,The Silver Theater,Adam's Race Shop,Jessie's Horse Power Garage and so much more.
Victory Junction is a member of the association of the Hole in the Wall Camps.Actor Paul Newman started the first camp, called the Hole In The Wall Camp.
The camp runs solely on the donations of wonderful corporations,organizations,and individuals.
It is a year-round camp that serves children,ages 7-15,with a variety of health issues.The Children served have any of the following health issues: arthritis,asthma,
cancer,epilepsy,hemophilla,immunology deficiencies/HIV,sickle cell disease,spina bifida,gastrointestinal disease,heart,kidney and liver diseases,neurological disease,skin disease,burn survivors,cystic fibrosis,diabetes,autism,craniofacial anomalies,physical disabilities,kids on vents and transverse.
