I like to travel and meet a lot of people. I hope to settle down but I'm not sure where and when I'll get to that point. I just moved here from Montreal, where I thought I was going to settle until August when I had problems renewing my work permit for Canada. I want to learn how to play the guitar and to speak and read a lot of languages. I like computers and I use Linux. I enjoy going to shows and watching foreign films. I also like to play pinball and the occasional video game, even though I am terrible at them. I enjoy swimming and try to keep an active life since I spend my days working for a network security firm.
I was born in Southern California and grew up in the Washington, D.C. area. I went to high school and university in Iowa. I spent 8 months during college living in the north of France, where I taught English conversation classes in a high school. After I finished my Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies at Iowa State University, I promptly moved to Montreal (it was kind of a random thing). I found a really nice job and made a few good friends there before I had to leave. I haven't met too many people here yet, but I'm starting to get settled.
