MARK ORWOLL

About Me

I play mandolin with the good-time folk band Nannyhagen Creek. On my own I play a lot of different musical styles, including hard rock, jazz rock, folk rock, Celtic, acoustic folk, and more. I'm a self-trained musician, and I play acoustic and electric guitar, electric bass, keyboards, tin whistle, accordion, mandolin, concert bells and harmonica. My new CD, "Magnetic Donkey Party," is what I guess you would call "an eclectic collection" of mostly self-penned songs ranging in style from hard rock to pop to folk. My earlier CD, "On My Mother's Side," is made up of traditional Celtic tunes, including a few with very non-traditional arrangements (like mixing the "Theme from Superfly" with Ryan's Polka). I do all this just for the fun of it, recording my tunes on a digital 8-track home studio. If you like what you hear, drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you.
