Lawrence Love: CHECK OUT THE NEW MUSIC

Lawrence Love was born Micah Lawrence Butler, to two pastors Moses and Sylvia Butler. The Future Of R&B was destined for greatness. Doctors had told his mother she probably wouldn't be able to have children but she prayed to God and he gave her only son. Love grew up in the church and has been singing all his life. In choirs and so forth. Growing up Love got to hear his mother sing. Love is quoted saying, "She had the purest, most amazing voice. There was so much emotion when she sang. I mean I just can close my eyes and still hear her to this day."Tradgedy struck Love and his family on October 29th, 2000. That was the day that his dear mother, Sylvia Regina Butler died. Love told us, "That was the worst day of my life. I'll never forget it. It haunts me to this day. She was such an amazing woman and she was taken well before her time." Love and his family took the pain of losing her hard. It also forced Love to grow up faster than he should've. Love's father Moses, was the rock to their family and did everything he could to provide a stable household. "You know, my pops, I love em. He really did what he needed to do. And sacrificed a lot. There needs to be more men out in the world like that today." said Love.Love's passion for music grew after his mother's passing. He somewhat wanted to follow in her footsteps as she too was once an amateur singer. "You know the only thing that helped me through all that pain at the time was to write. Ever since then that has been how I cope with different situations that life brings" said Love.Love has been heralded as a prolific writer and some have compared his work to Smokey Robinson, Babyface, Ne-Yo just to name a few. Love responds to those praises with, "Wow! I mean that's yeah. You know. Those guys what they can do with words is amazing. So it is an honor to be even mentioned in the same sentence as them you know? Damn! I hope that I get there one day. That is one of my many goals!"Besides writing Love has a unique sound and really can't be defined. Some say he sounds like Usher, some say John Legend, some say Lyfe Jennings. Love told us, "Yeah. I sound like me. Like Lawrence Love. I can do a lot and I'm diverse so that's who I sound like!"
