"If you ain't got culture, you ain't got sh*t"

About Me

Viva Plays guitar like a flaming sword, a screaming train, a ringing bell, and a scratching, mutating chicken. She sings like if Freddy Mercury had been a woman. On stage, she combines a gorgeous sound with righteous feminine power, embodying the essence of outlaw glam. She has performed everywhere including Bonnarroo with Cyro Baptista and Beat The Donkey, The Monterey Jazz Festival with Peter Apfelbaum’s NY Hieroglyphics, and the Michigan Womyn’s Festival with Paprika. Her original songs roam freely among the wide open spaces of Alternative Americana and heavy art-rock and she delightfully interprets artists as diverse as Dusty Springfield and Radiohead.
