Love is an awesome force. It can make us do things we never imagined possible. For you see, we don't actually choose love, it chooses us. And once it has, we are powerless to do anything about it.

At my heart I'm an adventurer, an explorer. People who know me well use the word "mischievous" in describing me. Often. I like to think of myself as a "hopeful" romantic. Books interest me. Art fascinates me. Words entice me. Music inspires me. If I found myself incredibly wealthy, I would dedicate my life to learning and sharing that vision with others. As of now, that's only part-time. I am fascinated by water, fire and thunderstorms. One of my favorite memories is of waking up one morning in early fall to the sound of a rainstorm and the feel of cool droplets on my face and hair. I cherish time spent with family and friends. I love animals, especially kitties. They are my "kids". I enjoy painting my toes and playing with power tools. Cleaning comforts me. I play video games and would like to live at Dave & Busters. Welcome to the Matrix. I would love to travel with only a compass and backpack--and, of course, sensible shoes. Oh, and I love wine. Actually, its one of my highest passions second only to people. There is something intoxicating about a sexy red wine. I enjoy reading in the early morning when my mind is most still. My current list is The Tao of Inner Peace, The Lovely Bones and my constant Forgiveness & Other Acts of Love. Yes, I read more than one book at a time. Then there's my current audible, The Celestine Prophecy. I also love writing whether it be journaling or some stab at stream of consciousness poetry. My greatest love, however, has always been music. My tastes are varied, to say the least, but my favs of the moment are new age music (George Winston), flamenco (Ottmar Liebert), and Austin's Live Music Scene (Matt White Band). Plus, theres the variety of lesbian music: angry dyke music (Ani), folksy dyke music (indigo girls), sexy dyke music (kd) and should-be-a-dyke music (Sarah). So if you've seen a sappy redhead at a stop light mouthing the words to Power of Two, why didn't you join in?
