Bianca Andrea Mettler

Bianca Andrea Mettler was crowned Miss Teen California Latina on August 8, 2009 in Huntington Beach, CA. She was also voted Miss Teen Photogenic by the “Media.”
The pageants are the preliminaries to the National Miss Latina US and Miss Teen US Latina, the most prestigious and longest running pageants for US Latinas. Bianca will compete at the national pageant this year.
Bianca Andrea is the 17 year old daughter of Mark and Gabriella Mettler and has a 9 year old sister named Paloma Maria. She is of Spanish, Mexican, and German descent and enjoys speaking Spanish, her first language. She currently resides with her sister and parents in California’s Central Coast and attends Olive Grove Charter School. As a 4.3 GPA student, Bianca plans to continue her education at a private university in Los Angeles in the fall of 2010, with a major in Theatre and a double minor in Ballet and Broadcast Journalism.
She is a ballet dancer and has danced in over 40 musical & theatre productions performing with the Gilbert Reed Ballet, The Ballet Theatre of San Luis Obispo & The Civic Ballet of San Luis Obispo. Dancing is one of her passions and has been for many years. She is trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, & hip-hop and has received 1st Place Platinum & Gold awards in dance competitions. She is an actress and model signed with the Mavrick Artists Agency in Hollywood, CA and is currently being featured as the lead teen girl in a national commercial for “Invisalign Teen”. She has studied with acting coaches Gary Spatz, and producer/director Aaron Metchik.
In addition to dancing and acting, Bianca writes her own songs and says they talk about "life and love, and all the ups and downs you go through when your a teenager..." Her vocal style is an appealing blend of country/pop, and looks up to the legendary Patsy Cline as her vocal influence. Other passions of hers include playing the piano & guitar.
In her leisure, she enjoys reading and writing, listening to music from Beethoven to the Rolling Stones, spending time with close friends, and going to local concerts. Her favorite times are Sunday barbeques and playing with her beloved miniature dachshund, Minnie. Last but not least is vacationing with her family at the happiest place on earth, Disneyland.
Bianca is committed to helping literacy programs, music foundations & the well being of animals nationwide. She embraces her culture and Latino heritage and hopes to become a role model and spokesperson for young women.
