With some extra scratch in my pocket a few years ago, I decided to purchase a banjo off Ebay. I had no idea that it would lead to an obsession of such magnitude. I started to learn how to play the thing with the help of my late teacher, Dennis Monroe. I’ve taken the approach of playing it like any other instrument and trying not to limit myself by genre or style. It’s led me to some cool experiences as some very cool people.
