Little Nomadic Promotions

About Me

Little Nomadic Promotions are here to enhance your life with music that is obscure and bewitching. We believe in music of the soul, the kind that tugs at heartstrings and keeps you up at night with its phantom recollection…
We are not genre specific, but prefer folk, americana, melancholia, post rock and noise.
We promote wonderful music from around the world and bring it to the good people of Brighton to enjoy in all its glory. We promote bands that we love, and we hope that you will love them too. If you are a fan of some of the bands we have coming up, chances are you’ll enjoy our nights!

UPCOMING SHOWS

Jackie-O Motherfucker

Jackie-O Motherfucker could be defined as the musical facet of a Kerouak novel. Created by NY multi-instrumentalist Tom Greenwood, it has that floating, multiform, rich, fake and complex quality.
Originally intended as a schizophrenic mixture of psychedelic folk guitars, country music, and free-jazz improv, the project expanded and became more complex as more members joined the band and more instruments were integrated, such as turntables, the ukulele, the recorder.
Spurred on by Thurston Moore, Tom went on to develop strings of interlocked genres with material retrieved from the average consumer's musical waste. This is how, using all sorts of instruments and sounds, JOMF took on a new sonic identity made up of clashing elements of acid rock, spooky country music (Native Einstein), folk music (Beautiful September), noise rock, post rock, funeral ragga (Your cells in Motion), or even electronica.
JOMF have fused together the traditional song form and the improvising ensemble, into a powerful and engaging live band, and 2008 finds the group finally honing in on the sound they have been searching for.
Supported by Euchrid Eucrow and Crowns on the Rats Orchestra.
