About Me

I've spent years trying to understand myself. Now that I think I've got that in hand, I want to understand everyone else. I want to experience a little bit of everything. I don't want to "be" anything other than myself. I want to make money, so I can do the things I want to do, but how I get it is irrelevant. I love making other people happy, but I won't do something that's against my nature. If I piss you off, that's just too bad. I never apologize for something I meant to do, only for the mistakes I make.

I guess I'm some sort of postmodern hippie.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

"You need a seatbelt for walking?"
"... I fall down sometimes."

Willful Ignorance

Lately, I've been attempting to be very empathetic with other people's points of view. Instead of thinking that everyone else is wrong and that I am right, I think "they are just basing their opinion ...

"I want to learn from everyone who has something to teach me."

Understanding - It's the only thing that interests me. It is my passion, my obsession, my religion. This manifests itself as a strange form of narcissism where I appear to only care about myself; In t...

Today I talk about...

... why I don't like talking about my experience with cancer. In short: Because it wasn't a big deal. When you tell someone "I had cancer", it sounds like you had a life and death struggle. You fough...

Concepts of Reality

I'm not really sure why, but I view reality with scrutiny. Without going over too many tired ideas, I sometimes wonder what makes a crazy person's view of the world any less valid than everyone else's...

"Compromise" is a dirty word
