About Me
Andy Ness formerly known as Nezty Kash was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He was raised both in New York and Puerto Rico also lived in Woonsocket,R.I Springfield,Mass. and Minneapolis,MN alongside his younger sister. Andy Ness started taking an interest in music at around age 10 where he started playing drums and other several instruments in the church band. He grew up listening to underground reggaeton artists such as: Tego Calderon, Plan B, DJ Playero's mixtapes, Vico C, Tempo, Luny Tunes, Cosculluela Hector y Tito etc,.It wasn't til the age of 12 in Massachusetts when he started composing and writing his own songs. He discovered his talent while listening to a Vico C mixtape that a friend had handed him. Since he didn't speak that much spanish he would write in english. Later on he released his first song "Hood Statuz" which had a positive feedback. Shortly after that in October of 2002 him and a group of friends decided to launch an underground label known as Playa Boyz Entertainment afterwards registered under his mothers name, By the begining of 03' the label had more than 20 artists legally bound under contract. One of the artists from his label dropped their first single which was radio played all over New England, Around the end of 03' Andy Ness family decided to move to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Once settled in he stopped writing songs and focused more on production and ghostwriting for various artists from New York. One day Andy Ness finds himself putting some gas in the car at a popular gas station and a lady calls him over and asks him if he likes hip-hop so of course he says "yea" and she hands him an album and a poster of an artist that went by the name of Young Bookie of Guaranteed Ent. It wasn't til that happened that Andy Ness got back to writing and composing music.Sometime later while watching television he happened to bump into a show on Univision which featured all reggaeton artists in Minnesota, That kinda got him motivated since he didn't know of many artists in Minnesota. Shortly after viewing the show he decides to try to write a song of his own in spanish, thats when he takes a beat that was produced by the Real King Kong Productions and writes the song "Somos Callejeros". Once again he finds himself on Myspace looking for the city rappers and he runs into an artist by the name of EL KAN which he was also a member of a group called "Callejero Flow" which happened to be linked with Block Royal the same team that got him started in doing hip-hop so he introduced him to the producer by the name of Riko. Then Riko produced and collaborated a few times on a couple of his tracks also, later on introduces him to Ele-Jay, which features on the song "Somos Callejeros" the song was a collaboration with the following artists: Ele-Jay "El Maravilloso", Riko & Kan "Los Callejeros",K.Z, Elliot "El Mas Violento", and Big J of SGR records. After that he's been making hits in collaboration with some of the best artists and singers in the city like "Nezty y Ele-Jay" obviously with Ele-Jay and DJ Pablo which was a hit in United Kingdom and Canada. The songs has been played in the clubs, barbershops,radio, mostly everywhere, Known for his catchy hooks and club bangers also the ability to transition from english to spanish perfectly Andy Ness can safely say he is next to takeover the throne in the spanish club music scene. At his short age he has managed/developed well over 30 artists and has made over 120 songs so far, And still more to come with the re-launch of Playa Boyz Entertainment and the new branch La Compania Records, LLC. (The Company) there will be definitely be a new image as well as new artists like: The King G-money with E.T.S, J-young, B-young,etc. Anonymous, Swifty B. and a few others there will also be new tracks so stay on the look-out for the upcoming mixtapes, music videos, and shows OH and don't forget the DVD.
