Reanimated by the magic of electricity, The Rippers hammer-out horror punk-rock.
Given half a chance, they'll slip a sugary tongue into your shell-like before lacerating your ear-drums.
The Rippers formed in December 2007. The band consists of the four members of the Dead Kennedys covers band DDK (formed in 2004) who finally got round to writing their own material. Ivan and Olivier are also in the metal band Gang of Gigors, Franck lives a double-life as the trip-hop mix-master Sansecret.
The four track EP called 'Songs for the Constipated' is on sale now. It was recorded in two afternoons and is buzzing with raw Rippers energy (see below for details).
Last year, Jill wrote a song called 'Postcard from La Costa Atomica' for French hardcore group ISP. The lyrics are about four nuclear bombs the US Army accidentally dropped in southern Spain in 1966. To see cult director David Basso's video, click on:
