Born in Salem, New Jersey Brav-o received his stage name early in his youth from his mother. As he displayed his passion to entertain to family and friends, she exclaimed "Brav-o!". Since then this young man has always had a phenomenal ear for unique sound. His talent was showcased in his ability to use household items, coins, eating utensils and just anything he could find to create music. Coupled with his musical ability, his animated demeanor and love of the spotlight make him a skilled musician and performer.
Some of Brav-o's musical influences are producer Quincy Jones, The Jackson 5 and Hip-Hop artists like Busta Rhymes, Pharrell, Jay-Z, & LL Cool J. Through the longevity of these artists and their musical careers Brav-o finds points of reference in an evolution of his own sound. Brav-o pulls from many sources to create his sound, such as Soul, Old School Rap, R&B, Blues, Funk, Jazz, Classic rock, and just sound in general. Producing both the lyrics and the music his first solo project, "Round of Applaud" in the summer of 2003'.Philadelphia's local radio station Power 99FM aired his single "Who Tha Best Is" in '04. In '05, the single"Faul Bakk" was played on the other local stations a few times a week. The new '07 street & club hit "RELAKS" is now in radio rotation & can be requested on your local station.
Brav-o has done on air interviews & teen chat sessions at local schools. Also, as both a rapper and a producer, Brav-o has worked with Roc-A-Fella Records, Bad Boy, J-Records, and Universal Records & other independent labels.
Unlike a great deal of popular music that stops at "the streets" the work of this young man reaches out to all audiences, from different geographic locations to various cultural backgrounds. Brav-o is also the owner of Nex Level Entatainment. Nex Level is an entertainment company that reaches beyond typical urban music. Nex Level Ent. is like a community that beyond Hip-Hop music and culture also incorporates R&B, Spoken Word, Experimental Rock, Clothing and Modeling.
Working with Nex Level demonstrates Brav-o's ability to work with other artists on various projects. Brav-o truly understands sound and blends it into intricate, abstract and creative music.
