The band started in February 2007...with 5 members on the lineup...only 2 from the original lineup are still playing for the band...Nick 'Pepe' Bebedelis(Rhythm guitar, keyboard) and Nick Vlassis(Bass)...the others George Nikopoulos(lead vocals), Harry 'Drunk' Papadopoulos(lead guitar) and Ilias Baramilis(drums) left the band...At the bands first meeting a cover of Paranoid(Black Sabbath) was performed...the result was not very good...so some members left...so LochNess were in need of lead guitaris and vocalist...so they contacted Paul 'the 7string Ironman' Giannoukos, who agreed to join the band as lead guitarist and lead vocalist...After this change in the lineup things went better for the band...so they decided to play in an Open Air Festival...in Voula...in this live show the band found a crazy fan...who is still helping the band (both in live shows and studios)...The band was ready for another live show...this time at Jesters(a club in Athens)...the show didnt go very well...so it was time to change the drummer...Alex Bond was hired...and things looked much better...after this show...the band had a break to relax...After this break...the band contacted Nick Lazidis...Nick agreed to join the band...and since then he is the lead vocalist...The band visited 'Esoteron Studios' a couple of times...the result was good...so the band was ready for another live show...Again at Jesters...the show was very good...and many fans joined the fanclub of the band...After this show...the band visited the studio again...with a new song...composed by Paul...called 'Last one to go' which was also recorded to the Demo Cd of the band... After many gigs and recordings, in August 2008 it was time for Paul to go to Scotland to study. He will still be working with the band. Lochness worked with session guitarists Lazaros and Baramilis. in Autumn Lazidis departed from the band due to personal differences and was replaced by John Angel. But after some months the band and Lazidis solved their differences and he returned to the band, so John Angel left LochNess. The band is in current need of a guitarist to replace Paul for the time that he will be at Scotland.More news soon...stay tuned
