Hi. My name is Melinda but I've always gone by Mindi. Most people call me Min. I am working for Creative Learning Workshop and I LOVE it!!! We are opening up MR/DD workshops throughout Ohio for clients from group homes to go to during the day to learn life skills and for those who can to work. Never in my life have I had a job that is so rewarding. It's nice to wake up and know that you are making a difference in someone's life. Eventually I would like to go back to school to get a degree in special education to have a little more background in the field and also it's something that I want to do for myself. I have lived in Ohio my entire life and I absolutely hate it!!! I would love to move out West but realistically that won't ever happen. I am a fairly quiet person until I get to know you and then I am very outgoing. I tend to keep my feelings and my emotions pretty guarded. I love hanging out and doing just about anything.
I have two brothers and a sister. The more that I get to know my older brother the more respect that I have for him. It really makes me realize what a cool guy he is. My little brother is my best friend and I tell him just about everything. My little sister is so much like me that it is scary!! My life has been extremely crazy growing up with all of them but I could never imagine my life without them. We have had a lot to deal with individually and together and it has only made us stronger. We have learned from each other and leaned on each other. There isn't a day that goes by that I am not proud to say that they are my siblings. We are like a puzzle - incomplete when separated but when you put us together we couldn't be a better fit! At the end of the day no matter what we always know that we are there for each other.

My Interests


I like to watch sports - mainly football and basketball. I love the Lakers and if I didn't say the Cavs my little brother might kick my butt!!! I love to read, play video games, scrapbook, watch movies and hang out with my friends and family. I love playing the Dance Dance Revolution games and I'm a huge fan of any Mario Brothers game. I am addicted to lip gloss and am an absolute caffeine addict - I can't live without it. I love hot wings and strawberries.
I love the beach and swimming. I love doing anything outdoors - hiking, playing frisbee, basketball, rollerblading, etc.

What is the definition of a true friend? I consider a true friend to be the friend that you lose track of for days, months, or even years but when you do end up talking again it is like no time has passed. The friend that finishes your sentences for you or you can just look at them and not say a word and you both know what you are thinking. The friend that you call anytime - day or night - and they are always there. A true friend is the person that you can tell anything to (good or bad) and even if they don't agree with you - they never judge you. I consider myself to be pretty lucky because all of my friends are TRUE friends! I love my family and my friends are an extended family to me. No matter what we are doing we always have a good time. Not all of my friends live here anymore and I miss them everyday but you all know that I still love you!
Love is a wild and crazy thing. Seems to come along when you least expect it. It is one of the best things that I have ever experienced - there is no feeling like it! I never used to believe in true love and soulmates however circumstance and life have made me a believer. There is no better feeling than knowing that when you have a bad day you have someone's arms to fall into knowing that you will feel better. Love changes you and makes you a better person. Helps you cope with things a little bit easier.I am recently engaged to my long time boyfriend. He is my best friend, my shoulder to cry on, the person who can always make me laugh, he knows me better than I know myself sometimes, and he always supports my decisions - no matter what they are. We have two kittens (they were my Christmas present last year) Cooper and Shadow. We are currently looking for a house but haven't found anything that we really like as of yet. I love him with all of my heart and I know that there is no other person out there for me. We've gone through some rough times together but we always come out stronger. He always amazes me! Life is crazy and he is definitely the person that I want to have by my side.

Music:


I listen to pretty much anything but I prefer rock, indie and some pop. I don't typically listen to country however I do like some of it. My favorite bands are Red Hot Chili Peppers and Green Day. Some of my other favorite artists are AFI, Avenge Sevenfold, FallOut Boy, The All-American Rejects, Weezer, The Ramones, Ok Go, The Killers, Jack's Mannequin, Hot Hot Heat, Papa Roach, KT Tunstall, Akon, Jack Johnson, Three Days Grace, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys, Plain White T's, Fergie, Colbie Caillat, Sean Kingston, Feist, Linkin Park, Maroon 5, Nickelback, Hinder, Avril Lavigne, Finger Eleven, Rihanna, James Blunt, Justin Timberlake, Daughtry, Elliott Yamin, Cascada, Foo Fighters, etc. I absolutely love music!!! Can't live without it.

Movies:


My favorite movies are Save the Last Dance, Lords Of Dogtown, Blue Crush, The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, all of the Matrix movies, The Last Samurai and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

Television:


My favorite show is Lost - I never miss it...EVER!!! I also like Brothers and Sisters, Pushing Daisies, all of the Law and Order shows, The Hills, L.A. Ink, Miami Ink, Heroes, One Tree Hill, Family Guy, American Dad, and Mindfreak.

Books:

My favorite authors are James Patterson, Nicholas Sparks, and Stephen King. My favorite poet is Edgar Allen Poe. I read absolutely anything. I just finished reading the Red Hat Club and it was pretty cute.

Heroes:

I have a lot of people in my life that I consider to be heroes for many different reasons. My friends and family know who these people are.
