PainSpirit from Giessen (Germany) is a five piece band of young and experienced metalheads from the mid-hessian area. It is their declared intent to kick the Metal's ass in Germany and to boost it a little with their unique and characteristic blend of modern and Oldschool Metal elements. The band is reluctant about being pushed into a genre, but the music is clearly in the range of Melodic Thrash & Death Metal.
Until now the bands music was very well received and so at the end of their first year, they didn't only play small shows in pubs, bars, smaller clubs and youth centres, but also played their first shows at bigger clubs and smaller Open Airs outside the hessian state borders. This years climax will be the show at the Ragnarock Open Air, where they will inter alia share the stage with Legion of the Damned, Tankard and Japanische Kampfhoerspiele.
In February the band fulgurously recorded 7 tracks in 2 days, because of a lack of time with the help of Glenn Heinrich and mixed and mastered during two days in cooperation with Marc Bugnard at the LFT-Studio. So new tracks can be presented.
Currently the band is immersed with songwriting, so the creative flow is not blocked and new material can be presented to the fans on stage soon.

PainSpirit kommen aus Gießen und setzen sich aus 5 jungen und musikalisch erfahrenen Metalheads aus Mittelhessen zusammen, die es sich mit ihrem eigenen und charakteristischen Metal-Stilmix aus modernem Metal und Oldschool-Metal zur Aufgabe gemacht haben dem Metal in Deutschland mal ein wenig in den Hintern zu treten und zu ein wenig mehr Aufschwung zu verhelfen.
Man lässt sich nur ungern in eine Genre-Schublade stecken, aber die Musik ist eindeutig im Bereich Melodic Death- & Thrash Metal einzuordnen.
Bisher kam der Metal-Mix des Gießener Fünfers immer sehr gut an und so spielte man bereits am Ende des ersten Jahres nicht mehr nur kleine Gigs in Kneipen, kleinen Clubs und Jugendzentren, sondern konnte auch erste Auftritte in größeren Clubs und auf kleineren Open Airs außerhalb der hessischen Landesgrenzen verbuchen. Den diesjährigen Höhepunkt wird vorläufig aber eindeutig das Ragnarock Open Air bilden, bei dem man sich unter anderem mit Größen wie Legion of the Damned, Tankard und den Japanischen Kampfhörspielen die Bühne teilt.
Im Februar wurden dann aus Zeitmangel in Windeseile ganze 7 Stücke in zwei Tagen unter der Mithilfe von Glenn Heinrich aufgenommen und in 2 Tagen im LFT-Studio in Kooperation mit Marc Bugnard abgemischt und gemastert, um langsam mal neue Stücke präsentieren zu können.
Momentan ist die Band wieder in das Songwriting vertieft, um dem hohen kreativen Fluss nicht zu behindern und den Fans bald neues Material auf der Bühne zu präsentieren.
