Heroes:
there's a lot to mention but ahmed shah massoud tops my list. he was an afghan man of peace that was forced into war. he went to college to become an architect and ended up becoming one of the most brilliant military strategists of our time. leader of the northern alliance and a fierce enemy of al qaeda and the taliban. he warned the u.s. of the impending 9/11 attacks even before the cia and the fbi had their own theories. history tells us that they never listened. massoud was assasinated by the al qaeda on the 9th september 2001, just two days before the greatest attack ever on american soil. photograph taken from the "lion of panjshir"
