Hammondorgan & keyboardplayer, born 1969 in Borlänge, Sweden. Very early in his life he fell in love with the mighty sound of the Hammondorgan, listening to Jon Lord (Deep Purple / Whitesnake), Rick van der Linden (Trace, Ekseption), Chester Thompson (Tower Of Power),Keith Emerson (ELP), Reese Wynans (Stevie Ray Vaughn), Jimmy Smith och many other great organplayers.His first Hammondorgan was a L-100 with a Leslie 760, that got heavily modified by a handy Hammondtechnician. - "The L-100 is a very simplel Hammond, but it still got the" klick "and the warmth that Hammondorgans are famous for. The sound of that specific L -100 is never to be found anywhere else in the world."In The early 80's he got his hands on a Hammond B-3 which he had for many years until he sold it with the rest of the keyboard-rig when he got tired of playing.Today, Jocke Åslund is back in the game, trying to gig as much as possible. The mighty "B" and his Leslie 142 has been replaced by a Hammond XK-3 with a modified Leslie 760, a Korg M1, Roland D-50, Roland JV-1080 and a Korg SG-Rack piano module. There is no doubt that he got his roots in the 80's, looking at his gear and hearing him perform, you'll understand. - "Why buy new expensive keyboards, when all they are doing is trying to duplicate and copy the sound of the 70's & 80's. I rather go original, and today it's quite cheap to buy the older keyboard's and synth's, apart from the old Moog's and Hammondorgans ". Jocke is playing with several bands at the moment. everything from Hard rock / metal to blues / jazz.sometimes he can also be seen in the studio as a guestmusician, with bands like Dozer, Greenleaf and Cryonic Temple. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ........................En till yrket heltidsanställd kock / kökschef som tröttnat på att släpa 250 kilo pjäser av typ Hammond B-3, Lesliekabinett x flera, Moog och andra syntar samt diverse klaviatur på 1980-90-talet. Nu istället skaffat ett antal Lättare tangentbord, en digital Hammond XK-3 med ett rejält trimmat Leslie samt div klaviaturer på olika ställ. Himla duktig kan man säga utan att skämmas och anläggningen låter grymt bra, högt & länge !Styrande bland grytorna på en grekrestaurang i mitten av Sverige, anser han att "Musik te maten är ju aldrig fel, bara det stämmer med magen å kroppen". Jocke lär vara runt 40 år, är gift och stolt ägare till hustrun Tesse, tonåringar och div kramdjur utöver sina tangentbord.
