Greg Merritt along with Alex Garay and Dave Migliore founded the 90s psychedelic band Amorphous. Dave and Alex went on to form Catbootz, and later the jam scene phenomenon Buzzuniverse. Greg Merritt went on to form the band Good Friend with drummer Dan DeRienzo and bassist Rob Smith. The first release was the 7" vinyl record Out There/River, which received airplay at over 70 college radio stations around the country in 1995. Building on this success, Good Friend's debut CD Best Friend released in 1999 received airplay on over 250 college stations reaching number one on over a dozen stations. Greg Merritt is currently forming a new jam band along with the release of his new CD Dream Through A Leaf with plans to tour in the near future.
