The FLA. DOT, The Flawless Legacy Arrives.

About Me

“F L A W L E S S “Adam Reyes lives up to his stage name in its truest sense: Flawless. Over and over he proves why he is flawless through his relentless attitude and effort to fulfill his destiny despite the many obstacles. In search of a better life, Flawless’ family came from Dominican Republic and moved to Elmhurst New York, where Flawless was born. As with most families, Flawless was born into a broken home. Shortly after his birth, his father completely disappeared neglecting his family. Despite that, he had an abundance of love and support from his extended family.Flawless’s first exposure to Hip Hop started at the age of three in Elmhurst, New York when Margie, his older sister by 12 years, took him to block parties and break dancing competitions. There he was introduced to the legendary artists like hip hop guru Melly Mel, Michael Jackson, Run DMC, Madonna and LL Cool J. His recollection of a memory brings him back in time to the back seat of his cousin, Romney’s car listening to the classic “ I Wonder If I Take You Home” by Lisa Lisa. Also at that time, Michael Jackson’s signature moon walk was sweeping the world, and ignited a spark in Flawless that inspired him to embrace Music and make it your unique identity. His interest in the hip hop industry took a strong hold after Flawless moved to Hialeah, Florida in his adolescent years. His cousin, Angel from Pennsylvania sent (from Bethlehem) Flawless the latest and hottest releases before they were officially released in South Florida making him the best connection to the latest releases. Eventually, Angel introduced Wu-Tang to him and this is where the interest in hip hop was deeply engrained. Angel, a freestyle rapper himself, encouraged Flawless to start freestlying and sharpen his skills by practicing. In the midst of this new chapter in his life, Flawless decided to start writing his own materials. Flawless believed and knew this was the time that he needed to take his artistic skills to a higher and serious level.Never before has Flawless been more in sync and a bigger fan of any artist as with Wu-Tang more so “Inspector Deck” and “Method Man”. His favorite song was and still is Winter Wars of which his favorite verse is Cappadona’s. His first major live performance was in junior high school at the Battle of the Bands Talent Show Protect Your Neck by Wu Tang. However, his very first performance ever was in the 6th grade in grade school part of drama class “ This and That ” by Snoop Dogg. The vibe and reaction of the audience encouraged and influenced Flawless to further pursue his new found talent: rapping. Initially, his family was against him joining the entertainment industry because it was “too risky”. They preferred a more serious and professional industry for him such as an engineer, doctor, lawyer etc. “A true profession”. The more exposure he got from Hip hop, the stronger his passion grew for Hip hop and the more serious he became about making it his career. Eventually his family gave into and saw they couldn’t stand in between him and his passion. The more he became passionate about Hip Hop, the more competitive he became to the point of being infallible: Flawless. During his high school, he was involved in many competitions. Hialeah High School held an annual talent show called the Autumn Capers where he performed his own remake version of The Message by Melly Mel and won first place. Flawless also performed in a break dancing and freestyling show case at Broward Community College. After basketball games at GoodLet Park and in high school, other rappers challenged Flawless into a freestyle battle assuming that since he was so quiet and reserved, he had no skills. They soon learned that looks can be deceiving. His fan based grew bigger making him a popular demand for house parties and performances. His first recorded track in sound studio was Temporary Tattoss with Cifa Scrpx (pronounced Cipher Scripts). Cifa’s “Go Getter” mentality encouraged Flawless to be more assertive and proactive in everything we do. “Good things come to those who wait but only things that people who hustled have left behind.” Their first collaboration together ultimately sparked a new journey towards the Flawless Legacy.Cifa and Flawless continued to blending their talents on to mixtapes but it wasn’t long before they realized they were wasting their talents on recording mix tapes. They felt what was to point of recording tracks when no one is listening. They knew they needed to create a true product on the Hip Hop market. People had to listen to their message.Besides mix tapes, Ciper and Flawless had no products and no plans. They had to create a product, promote it themselves with limited money. They had to make the best of it and be more creative. After recording numerous projects, Flawless suffered many disappointments and turn downs. “I finally found the true form in Hip hop. I found my place in Hip Hop. I found my true identity within hip Hop.” His heavy faith in God got him through all the trials and tribulations. Realized the reason he hasn’t made it is simply because God doesn’t feel like he was ready. God was taking his time molding me for the perfect opportunity. Put trust in God.The Flawless Legacy continues….Flawless is anticipating major collaborations and ways to get outside the box. As a youngster, he couldn’t image why the big names of the 1980s , 90s and even today have yet to collaborate together such as LL Cool J and Madonna, Michael Jackson and Prince; and Lauren Hill and Eminem. The originality of Hip Hop music needs to be revived. There needs to be songs about real life issues that are completely outside of one’s personal experiences: rapping with a cause that concerns everyone as a whole to better educate us on society.New rappers are not educated on the origins of Hip Hop and not innovative. “I understand that it’s all about money because you gotta be able to eat. At the end of the night can you sleep in your bed. “Right now he has fifteen thousand copies of mix tapes: Rapping is Breathing, Dade County Titan and I Love Rosé not including others features on compilations albums.“Do not practice to be perfect but practice perfection.”Flawless: Chose that name as a standard to live up to. Although no one but God himself is perfect. Practicing perfection and faith will open doors once thought to be unbreakable. Once those doors are open, people will start respecting and acknowledging him as Flawless.Like to encourage and hopefully inspired you to embrace Hip Hop and make it your unique identity. Make it you but keep in mind the people listening to your music and the repercussions it may bring. Your music can either break a person or help rebuild a person.Header Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com! Click here to make your own! F.L.A DOT DOT..
