About Me

Born in Biloxi, MS on April 22nd of ’74, I didn’t really come from a musical family. But I have always been intrigued by music… live performances especially. As a small child in church, I would always run up on the stage and sit with the organist, dazed by the sounds and movements she would make. At age 15, I met the Bullers… a highly musical, cajun family originally from Louisiana who really got me started! Jason showed me some drum licks, and his dad, Harold sold me my first guitar. Robbie played bass and little Christi would sing so sweet and we would all have so much fun jamming and singing. I learned so much from them. Fast forward a few years to 1996 when I bought a basic book on piano and started banging out chords and singing for worship services. A few more years later, and Straight Shot was born in 2001. Really the brainchild of Kerry Hansen and I, Straight Shot is a variety cover band I’ve been involved in that’s done quite well on a local level through 2008. But 2008 had more for me. After completing Katrina repairs and moving back into my home in Pascagoula, I began writing original tunes in mid-’08 when I bought a modest digital recorder. I had always known I had songs inside of me because I could pick up a guitar or keyboard and play little bits of them on the spot for people. Once the first one was complete, a love song for my wife called “Can You Hear Me Love You”, all my heart’s desire was to write more. “Lettin’ Loose” came out, followed by “Settle The Score”. A couple more came out, and I finally feel like I’ve found my place creating songs. I aspire to be a singer / songwriter, and with some of the experiences I’ve had with Straight Shot over the years, I feel like there are a few doors I can knock on to get me started. My friends from Straight Shot are very supportive along with my wife… it’s great. Straight Shot is now currently working to collaborating in efforts to go more original. You hopefully haven't heard the last of Straight Shot, most recently voted the 2008 Covey Award Winner for 'Best Country Band'! I’m booking acoustic shows where I can, and I’ve also been filling in on drums or keys for various local artists and bands like. I’m just into a lot of stuff right now, most recently launching “Jam Room Rec” where I’ve opened up my modest studio in an effort to help record demo track for other aspiring singer / songwriters. I supply my own sound and lighting, and booking me will ensure a good time! I’m a born performer and play every show as if it’s my last!
